This year's global theme, set by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP), is 'Changing the Narrative on Suicide', with the powerful call to action: 'Start the Conversation

This #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, we are supporting PAPYRUS and joining the call to change the narrative on suicide.

Around five young people die by suicide every day in the UK. Many of them had never accessed mental health services.

Every 3 minutes, someone reaches out to HOPELINE247.

In 2024, PAPYRUS advisers supported over 12,000 people during the night shift alone, offering hope and helping to keep young people safe.

Suicide is the biggest killer of anyone aged 35 and under in the UK.

Over 1,800 young people under 35 took their own lives in the UK last year that's around five young lives lost every day.

On #WSPD25, we’re supporting PAPYRUS to raise awareness, smash the stigma, and help prevent future tragedies.

Let’s start the conversation, because suicide is preventable #WorldSuicidePreventionDay
